No doubt about it, our region offers incredible ice fishing for anglers from around the world and here at home.
From whitefish and perch to northern pike, walleye, trout and burbot — the fish are especially hungry in the winter. Ice fishing season runs from around late December to well into February. Cold weather gear is an absolute must, so please dress for the weather, check the ice reports, and play it smart before taking to the frozen lakes and rivers.
