The Snye
Gregoire Lake Provincial Park
One of the region’s most popular areas for summer excursions is just a short drive from Fort McMurray. There's a large campground with a public beach and a boat launch and trailer parking for getting out on the water. The park is open from May to October.
Maqua Lake Provincial Recreation Area
Located 44 kilometres south of Fort McMurray is secluded and majestic Maqua Lake. It's a serene step into nature for those who prefer a quieter setting with a beautiful body of water where motorized boats are prohibited.
The Snye
Located in the heart of Fort McMurray’s downtown core, the Snye is a hub for year-round recreation. This calm waterway is a great place to practice in a new canoe or kayak or to access the Clearwater River from the sandy point or boat launch.
