Living in Fort McMurray
Getting Around
There are a number of transportation options to get you where you need to go, including car rentals, taxi services, and local public transit on the WOOSH bus service.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The WOOSH bus transit system operates seven days a week with the exception of negotiated statutory holidays. Transit maps and schedules can be found at the Jubilee Building (9909 Franklin Avenue, downtown) or downloaded here.
A Specialized Transportation Service is available in the urban area. The system provides an accessible door-to-door service for seniors and those unable to board the regular transit system due to mobility problems. Passengers must book trips 24 hours in advance.
There is scheduled transit service to the rural communities in the region as well, so you can visit these beautiful communities even without your own vehicle. Routes service Conklin, Janvier, Anzac, Gregoire Lake Estates, and Fort McKay, with services operating to and from the Main Street Terminal downtown.
